Cherry Tree were Runner up for Outstanding Commitment to Sport in a Primary School.

Cherry Tree Primary School was awarded the SEND Inclusion award in March 2025.

Cherry Tree Primary School were also awarded the Dyslexia Friendly School award in July 2025.

Cherry Tree achieved the Green Tree School award from the Woodland Trust  in 2025.

The Green Schools Award is achieved by schools who encourage outdoor learning and inspires pupils about trees, woods and wildlife.  We have 3 identified Forest School leads at Cherry Tree and their work contributed to the award. 

In July 2025 through KEYPE - Rachel Parker and Gina Hodgkinson were both nominated for Teacher of the Year and we were lucky to receive Primary School Sports award - School of the Year 2024-25.

We were also awarded the Platinum Sports award for the commitment to Sports / PE within a mainstream school.  We have a  high percentage of children who engage in a wide range of activities across school.

Cherry Tree was awarded the  Silver Mental Health Award in April 2023 and will be applying for the Gold Standard in 2026.
